Whimsical

Rutilite features in this pendant with a squiggle of 9kt gold and natural garnet in a pear shape for a high light
Rutilite is an ancient stone. The Romans believed that it came from the hair of the goddess Venus. It is, therefore, understandable that it has a connection with love and marriage. Some believe that the stone is lucky for those who wish to preserve their marriage.
In truth, rutilite is really made up of titanium, dioxide, and iron. That might help to account for its color, which is typically reddish-brown or deep red to nearly black. The gem ranges from transparent to translucent to opaque and often boasts a silky luster. Sometimes, it contains enough metallic specks to even give it an unusual sparkle and sheen. Rutilite was originally discovered in Africa. It continues to be mined there as well as in Brazil and the United States. Although, the stone is hard, ranking about an eight on the Mohs scale of hardness, it is very rare; only gem collectors or jewellry collectors that specialize in unusual, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces generally possess it.
This piece can be purchased  by contacting myself or Dyoligy in Traralgon .

Splash

I named this ring Slash because it represented the design of a pebble dropping into water , the colour of the water and the impact it has when you wear it .
It has a handmade 18 kt yellow gold shank  and the cluster setting is platinum. It is set with one fine blue Ceylon sapphire oval  cushion cut 1.16 carat weight and ten  6 point  pear cut diamonds. I kept the pear shape theme in the wires under the setting and in the shoulders of the ring to give it continuity.

Circle around the Moon

The  9kt yellow gold Cho-Ka-Rie  Reiki symbol pendant was hand made for a client. The centre stone is an oval  moon stone. If you are looking for a particular symbol I can make them to order.
